Ethena's USDe aims to hold a dollar value through crypto collateral paired with short perpetual positions. In good markets, funding rates can reward that structure. When funding turns negative, the same mechanism comes under pressure. Anyone following ENA is really following derivatives conditions, which makes it a different risk profile from a typical DeFi token.
