🔥 Public blockchains are getting hotter, but why don't token holders necessarily make money?
Recently, looking at the ecosystems of ETH, SOL, and OKB, I increasingly feel that the market is re-examining one thing: even if a public blockchain develops well, what exactly does that have to do with token holders?
📊 A chain's transaction volume can grow, active addresses can increase, and ecosystem projects can continuously expand, but these numbers don't necessarily directly bring token buying pressure.
The reason is not complicated.
User transaction fees might be very low, and the revenue earned by applications may not necessarily flow back to the native token. Some trading activities might also rely on reward subsidies, and once the subsidies end, the funds will leave.
This is why when I look at X Layer now, I not only focus on new projects and activities but also pay more attention to the actual usage demand for OKB.
💰 The same logic applies to ETH and SOL, only their fee structures, staking, and value capture mechanisms differ.
In the next round of public blockchain competition, what I value more is not who announces how many partnerships, but who can turn real usage into sustained token demand.
Ecosystem prosperity is a good thing, but it cannot be directly equated with token price increases.

Google and Amazon earnings reports are about to be revealed. Which is more likely to exceed expectations?
Google will announce its Q3 earnings on October 28, followed by Amazon on the 29th. These two reports could significantly impact the trajectory of tech stocks and the entire AI sector.
📊 Google: I am more optimistic about earnings certainty.
The market expects revenue of $128.1 billion and an EPS of $3.02. Google Cloud is growing strongly, search advertising remains steady, and AI commercialization is accelerating. My judgment is that Google is more likely to beat expectations on both fronts.
🚀 Amazon: The stock price may have greater elasticity.
The market expects revenue of $202.2 billion and an EPS of $1.96. The key is whether AWS can maintain its high growth rate and whether retail business profit margins can improve. If AWS growth surpasses market expectations, the stock price could experience significant volatility.
⚠️ But the real risk is not in revenue, but in the speed of AI cash burn.
Both companies are heavily investing in AI infrastructure. Even if profits exceed expectations, if capital expenditures continue to soar and free cash flow is pressured, the stock price could still decline.
My inclination is clear: Google wins on certainty, Amazon wins on potential elasticity.
The real question this earnings season is: Has AI started to make money, or is it still burning cash desperately?

OKB has dropped to around $110, can it hold this time?
📉 On October 22, OKB quickly fell from around $116, then fluctuated around $110 for two consecutive days.
According to the latest data from OKEx, OKB has dropped about 4.8% in the past 7 days and over 8% in the past 30 days.
What I think is most worth paying attention to now is not what new ecosystem activities X Layer has launched, but whether the market is willing to keep buying at this level.
The price battle around $110 has occurred multiple times, but repeated tests of support do not necessarily mean it can hold.
📊 From the technical indicators, the daily RSI is about 36, indicating weak short-term momentum; the price is still below the 20-day and 50-day moving averages, so reversal conditions are not yet sufficient.
Next, I am more focused on two areas:
⚠️ $108–$110: If this support is lost and cannot be quickly recovered, the correction may continue.
📈 $115–$117: If it can regain and hold this level with improved volume, there is a chance for short-term strength.
My judgment is: OKB currently looks more like a weak consolidation rather than the start of a new upward trend.
The ecosystem outlook can be studied long-term, but short-term trading must respect the price.

🐕 DOGE dropped to $0.078, is a rebound opportunity coming, or is it a continuation of the decline?
DOGE's recent performance has not been ideal.
As of the morning of October 24, DOGE was quoted at about $0.0784, down nearly 18% in the past 30 days. Although there has been a short-term rebound, the daily chart structure remains weak, with an RSI around 36, indicating that buying power has not yet clearly recovered.
📊 Next, focus on three key levels:
🔹 $0.0771: short-term support; if broken, it may continue to test $0.0743.
🔹 $0.0805: first resistance; whether it can break out with volume is key to judging the strength of the rebound.
🔹 $0.0836: level to challenge for further rebound; breaking through and holding above this level is needed to improve the short-term structure.
I believe the biggest problem for DOGE right now is not a lack of market attention, but a lack of sustained capital inflow.
There have been new developments in the ecosystem applications recently, but news hype does not equal actual capital entering the market.
If BTC stabilizes and market risk appetite recovers, DOGE still has room to rebound; otherwise, blindly bottom-fishing may lead to further losses.
What is more worth watching now is the trading volume, not guessing the bottom.

The crypto market suddenly plunged collectively, and this time it’s probably not just a shakeout
📉 BTC fell below $82,000, with mainstream coins like ETH and SOL weakening simultaneously. Many are still debating whether this is a shakeout by major players, but I believe the more important factor in this downturn is the external funding environment.
On October 22, the Nasdaq index in the US stock market dropped 2.6%, and the crypto market immediately came under pressure. About $441 million in contracts were liquidated within 24 hours, with over 90% coming from long positions.
This indicates that leveraged liquidations are amplifying the decline, but it does not prove they are the initial cause of the drop.
⚠️ The real trouble lies in the macro environment.
Oil prices continue to rise, and US Treasury yields remain high. The market is beginning to worry that inflationary pressures will make it harder for the Federal Reserve to pivot to easing.
Risk assets that originally expected rate cuts and liquidity improvements are being repriced.
💰 I am now paying more attention to two signals: whether the US tech sector can stop falling, and whether there is sustained spot buying during BTC’s decline.
If external risk appetite does not recover, a rebound driven solely by short-covering in contracts is unlikely to go far.
This time, I’m not rushing to bottom-fish.

ETH faces negative news again? Upgrade suddenly postponed, institutional funds are also retreating
Ethereum has been a bit unlucky recently.
📉 On October 22, the US spot ETH ETF saw a net outflow of about $111 million, with BlackRock's ETHA outflowing about $75.5 million. The day before, there was a net inflow of funds, which then turned into an outflow.
More notably, the Glamsterdam upgrade originally scheduled to activate on the Hoodi testnet on October 26 was announced by the official team to be postponed, with the new date yet to be determined.
⚠️ The reason for the delay is that the development team needs to further investigate the compatibility issues between EIP-8037 and existing smart contracts.
This is not a mainnet upgrade failure, but it does indicate that there are still technical issues in the scaling roadmap that need to be resolved.
I believe what ETH currently lacks most is not a technical narrative, but the rebuilding of confidence in funding.
Upgrades can be postponed, and technical issues can be resolved, but if ETFs continue to see outflows, it will be difficult for the short-term price to strengthen based solely on upgrade expectations.
🔍 Moving forward, I am more focused on two things: when the Hoodi testnet will reschedule the upgrade, and whether ETFs can see continuous net inflows.
ETH's long-term value is worth studying, but short-term rebounds still need funding validation.

X Layer's Q3 data is impressive, so why hasn't OKB experienced an independent rally yet?
📊 The Q3 data of X Layer disclosed on October 22 shows:
TradeZone recorded about 287 million transactions, DeFi locked value reached $173 million, doubling quarter-on-quarter. Ecosystem application transaction fee revenue was about $1.86 million, a 490% quarter-on-quarter increase.
These data come from third-party reports and still need to be verified against the original statistical criteria.
What’s really worth discussing is: why does ecosystem activity growth not necessarily lead to a synchronous rise in OKB?
I believe the market is distinguishing between two things: whether a chain has users, and how much value those users can create for the token.
💰 Exchange OS allows developers to stake OKB to deploy trading markets, which is a potential source of demand. But the actual staking scale, fee consumption, and new buying volume ultimately determine how big this demand is.
If trading volume mainly relies on incentives, no matter how good the data looks, it may not support long-term valuation.
I am optimistic about X Layer’s exploration of on-chain trading infrastructure, but the judgment on OKB ultimately depends on real revenue and token demand.

X Layer is offering $50,000 to incentivize trading, but the real test is still ahead
📊 X Layer recently launched a community-certified token trading competition, running from October 19 to 26, with a total prize pool of $50,000.
This is not the first time X Layer has used funds to incentivize ecosystem trading. In September, it also launched an RWA liquidity incentive program.
What I focus on is not how much the reward is, but whether the funds will stay after these activities end.
💰 For a public blockchain, short-term trading volume is not hard to stimulate. As long as the rewards are attractive enough, trading activity can quickly rise.
The challenge is whether users are willing to continue trading and liquidity providers are willing to stay on the chain after the rewards stop.
This is also an important criterion for me to judge the quality of X Layer's development.
🔍 What’s worth watching next is whether active addresses, DEX trading volume, and locked capital scale significantly decline after the event ends on October 26.
If the ecosystem remains active without rewards, that is the real change worth OKB holders’ attention.

X Layer has been quite active recently, but I'm more concerned about whether OKB can truly benefit.
🔍 Recently focusing on OKB, I found that X Layer is trying to change its development direction.
On October 13, the official announcement introduced a trading competition centered around community-certified tokens, planned to start on October 19, aiming to increase trading participation and liquidity of ecosystem assets.
This seems like just an event, but combined with the previously launched Exchange OS, the underlying idea is worth noting.
📊 Exchange OS allows developers to deploy spot, perpetual contract, and other trading markets, and participate in market operations by staking OKB.
I believe X Layer is trying to shift from simply attracting projects to settle in, to building a more complete on-chain trading ecosystem.
But here’s a question: can the short-term hype from trading activities retain long-term users?
⚠️ For OKB, ecosystem expansion is certainly promising, but with extremely low on-chain gas fees, increased trading volume may not directly translate into sufficiently large token demand.
Next, I’m more focused on three practical changes: whether active addresses can continue to grow, whether on-chain liquidity can be solidified, and whether Exchange OS can attract real trading markets.
X Layer is not lacking development plans; what it needs now are results that can be continuously validated.

🚨 The public chain battle enters the second half! ETH, SOL, BNB, TRX, SUI, OKB — who will be the last to laugh?
In 2026, the competitive landscape of public chains is changing.
📊 According to DeFiLlama data:
🔵 Ethereum: TVL about $49.6 billion, with a clear advantage in capital retention.
🟣 Solana: 24-hour DEX trading volume about $2.27 billion, active in high-frequency trading.
🟡 BNB Chain: TVL about $5.7 billion, mature retail user ecosystem.
🔴 Tron: stablecoin scale about $94.1 billion, outstanding advantages in payments and transfers.
🔷 Base: TVL about $6.1 billion, competing for mass on-chain users.
⚡ Emerging ecosystems like Sui and X Layer are still looking for breakthroughs.
But I believe the key to the next round of public chain competition has changed!
In the past, it was about TPS, fees, and the number of ecosystem projects.
In the future, it will be about:
💰 Who can attract sustained inflows of real capital?
👥 Who can retain users without relying on subsidies?
📈 Who can generate revenue and let tokens truly capture value?
Especially worth noting: on-chain transaction volume growth does not necessarily mean token price will rise!
🎯 My judgment:
Ethereum’s capital advantage is hard to shake in the short term; Solana remains competitive in high-frequency applications; stablecoin payments and RWA may become important incremental markets in the next phase.
The future may not have only one winning chain.
What really matters is who first moves from "telling ecosystem stories" to "sustained revenue creation."
💬 If you could only follow one public chain long-term, which would you choose?
