BlackRock's proposed PBIT uses IBIT-linked options and short-term fixed income to trade some upside for a loss buffer. That structure could broaden the Bitcoin ETF audience among investors who cannot absorb full spot volatility, but capped returns and no principal guarantee make the trade-off real.
Approval and actual demand remain open questions.
