The interesting part of dYdX is the relationship between its token and an actual trading-focused ecosystem. Perpetuals, margin products, liquidity pools, and trading incentives create several mechanisms that can generate activity. But derivatives markets are highly competitive. Sustained trader participation, deeper liquidity, and efficient execution will matter far more than short-lived speculation around the token itself.
