🔎 Drie belangrijkste financiële overzichten❸｜Kasstroomoverzicht: het bedrijf maakt winst, waarom is er dan toch een tekort aan contanten?
Als een bedrijf recordwinsten boekt, betekent dat dan dat er ook meer contanten op de rekening staan? Niet per se.
👉🏻 Het kasstroomoverzicht (Cash Flow Statement) registreert waar het geld van het bedrijf vandaan komt en waar het naartoe gaat gedurende een bepaalde periode, het kan worden gezien als het "kasboek" van het bedrijf.
📊 Het bestaat uit drie hoofdonderdelen:
❶ Kasstroom uit operationele activiteiten: veranderingen in contanten door dagelijkse bedrijfsvoering, zoals ontvangen betalingen en het betalen van salarissen
❷ Kasstroom uit investeringsactiviteiten: veranderingen in contanten door de aankoop of verkoop van apparatuur, fabrieken, investeringen, enz.
❸ Kasstroom uit financieringsactiviteiten: veranderingen in contanten door leningen, uitgifte van obligaties, uitgifte of inkoop van aandelen, dividenduitkeringen, enz.
Simpel gezegd:
Operationeel → hoeveel contanten genereert het bedrijf uit de bedrijfsvoering
Investeringen → waar is het geld in geïnvesteerd
Financiering → hoe wordt het geld opgehaald en terugbetaald
📌 Waarom kijken we naar kasstromen als er winst is?
Omdat "winst op papier" ≠ "contanten zijn ontvangen". Bijvoorbeeld, een bedrijf kan een product verkopen en de omzet boeken, maar de klant heeft nog niet betaald; de winst- en verliesrekening kan deze omzet al registreren, maar het geld is nog niet daadwerkelijk binnengekomen.
💡 Als een bedrijf zelf continu contanten genereert uit de bedrijfsvoering, heeft het meestal meer ruimte om te investeren, schulden af te lossen en schommelingen in de bedrijfsvoering op te vangen; als de kasstroom langdurig krap is, is het de moeite waard om verder te kijken, zelfs als er winst op papier staat.

Een bedrijf dat veel contanten en activa bezit, betekent niet automatisch dat het een dikke financiële basis heeft; je moet ook kijken hoeveel schulden het heeft.
👉🏻 De balans (Balance Sheet) registreert hoeveel activa een bedrijf op een bepaald moment bezit, hoeveel schulden het heeft en hoeveel eigen vermogen er is. Het kan worden gezien als de "financiële inventaris" van het bedrijf.
📊 Drie hoofdonderdelen: Activa = Schulden + Eigen vermogen
❶ Activa (Assets): Middelen die het bedrijf bezit of controleert, zoals contanten, voorraden, fabrieksapparatuur, investeringen, enz.
❷ Schulden (Liabilities): Verplichtingen of schulden die het bedrijf moet dragen, zoals leningen, te betalen rekeningen, enz.
❸ Eigen vermogen (Equity): Het resterende boekhoudkundige belang van de aandeelhouders nadat de schulden van de activa zijn afgetrokken
📌 Een voorbeeld:
Stel dat de contanten en activa van een bedrijf toenemen, waardoor het lijkt alsof de financiële basis sterker wordt. Maar als tegelijkertijd de leningen en te betalen rekeningen ook snel toenemen, kun je de financiële situatie niet alleen beoordelen op basis van de groei van de activa.
👉🏻 Daarom moet je bij het lezen van financiële rapporten activa en schulden samen bekijken:
